Fort Bliss was established in 1848 by the war department general to move troops to. It was named after William Wallace Smith Bliss. It moved locations in 1854 to Maggofinsville.Fort bliss now has soldiers for the Cold war and Korean war. You can visit Fort Bliss if you sign in as a guest because Fort Bliss doesnt let any outsiders into the army base without permission. There is quite a few things to do in Fort Bliss. you can visit the old fort bliss museum that was established in 1948.You can go there and learn about life in fort bliss in the 1850s.After you go to the museum you can visit the P-X its a main exchange on base where you can buty things.Fort Bliss is the united states army anti aircraft artillery and guided missle center later the U.S army air defense center.You can visit Fort Bliss when Ever you want to.  |
